Professor Ying’en Ge and Professor Dawei Hu were invited to give speeches at the High-end Forum on Green and Low-carbon Development of Transportation hold by Transportation Technology Innovation Alliance of Universities in the Yellow River basin

From July 19 to 21, the High-end Forum on Green and Low-carbon Development of transportation of the Yellow River basin Universities Transportation Science and Technology Innovation Alliance was held in Xining, Qinghai Province. This forum, sponsored by the Yellow River basin Universities Transportation Science and Technology Innovation Alliance and hosted by Qinghai Nationalities University, aims to accelerate the pace of transportation science and technology innovation that meets the development needs of the Yellow River Basin, deeply promote the exchanges and cooperation among universities in the field of transportation in various provinces and regions along the Yellow River, fully stimulate the release of innovation vitality and effectively promote high-quality development, gather strength and link the East and the West. To build a high-tech innovation highland for transportation in the Yellow River Basin, and provide strong transportation technology support for the high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin.

Centering on the Research Status of Transportation and Environment at home and Abroad, Professor Ying’en Ge introduced the current situation of theoretical research and practical exploration of transportation and environment issues from both regional and global perspectives, which includes innovation in technology, market and operation in this field, various current problems to be solved, and problems to be broken through in practice.

With the title of Vehicle Electrification and Low-carbon Development: In-depth Analysis and Foresight, Professor Dawei Hu analyzed the hot spots and controversial points of research on electric vehicles and carbon emissions, introduced the research results of his team on this topic, and discussed the future research direction of transportation carbon emissions from the perspective of the whole life cycle.

Professor Shaowei Yu, lectures Xiqiong Chen and Wenjian Jia from College of Transportation Engineering attended the forum. Some of our graduate students also attended the forum for exchange and study.
