Lecture Topic:
The built environment refers to the material spatial environment constructed and shaped by humans, including urban land use, road networks, public transportation facilities, and architectural layout. The built environment has a significant impact on green travel behavior. The lecture introduces the team's work related to the complex relationship between the built environment and resident travel behavior.
III. Lecturer Profile
Yang Linchuan, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Architecture, Southwest Jiaotong University, Deputy Director of the Department of Urban and Rural Planning, one of the top 2% scientists worldwide by Elsevier (2021-2024), a young scientist in the field of global frontier technology by WGDC (2022), a young talent in Sichuan Province's Tianfu Emei Plan (2022), holds dual bachelor's degrees in engineering and science from Xiamen University, and master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Hong Kong. His research field is the interaction and planning of transportation and land use. His results have been published in academic journals such as Sustainable Cities and Society, Transportation Research Part A/D, Journal of Transport Geography, Building and Environment, Habitat International, Urban Planning English Edition, Architecture Journal, and Chinese Garden; he has published one English monograph with Springer and one Chinese co-authored book. He has led projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, key research and development plans, Sichuan Province's science and technology plan projects, general projects of the Sichuan Province Philosophy and Social Science Planning, and annual policy research topics of Sichuan Province.
